I posted some screen shots in this post, of course, but since no one has any idea what's happening I'm not overly hopeful that even external guides are going to help. That's what the tutorial is supposed to be designed to do: Familiarize the new player with the game so that he or she can jump into a real game later and decide if the game is for him/her. I'm not about ready to jump into a "Real game" with no idea what I'm doing and then base my undoubtedly less-than-ideal playthrough on wether or not this game is worth the buy.
I have no idea what goes wrong in your case.Įxcept I shouldn't have to depend on external sources that are likely to be even more confusing than the tutorial for first time players. But without any screenshot(s) or offered save files it is difficult to give a good feedback in case of what you are reporting here. made by "Waervyn's Worl", "4xAlchemist", or "GUD".
In case you want to know something about first steps, there are several game guides on youtube to check out. Originally posted by Groo the one:Don't play turorial, start real game. I'm not exactly hopeful for the rest of the game right now. I've dumped FOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HOURS into this game just attempting to get past this point (with restarting the tutorial so many times I lost count). And there are no other race in either of the three systems I'm attempting to colonize (Rigil, Heka, and Primus). Selecting them just tells me, "System is full". The system population growth remains at 0/300 no matter how many turns I cycle through (and this particular tutorial attempt is already on turn 63), and my two ships that have more than double the food required for the population growth are just chillin outside the system. There is no reason for an outpost not to become your colony eventually after some turns, however, could it be that another race has made an outpost also in that system? Maybe its draining your population? Check that out.Īlso try to restart a tutorial, maybe you didnt follow it correctly so it stoppoed on that last tip and its "waiting" for you to finish it.?Īs I'm sure you can very clearly see, I have one Population on the planet. Tutorial starts with united empire and they colonise outposts pretty easily and are generaly good beginner race. Originally posted by LezDole:There is seriously something wrong at what are you doing. Games are supposed to be fun, but this, this is no where near close right now. I was considering a possible buy while the game is on sale, but if I can't even manage to progress through the very first part of the tutorial, what on earth does that say about the rest of the game? I have 900 food sitting on one of those ships, and it ain't going to the damn Outpost. Far as I've been able to glean you need Food to be delivered (300 of it or something) to establish a Colony, but those stupid automated ships aren't delivering the food.
The automated food ships hang around outside the system, because apparently "The system is full", whatever in the hell that means. I get the Outpost established, I have one Population in that planet's slot, and then it proceeds to sit there and do absolutely nothing useful no matter how quickly I cycle the game's turns. Right now my issue stems from the fact that I can't, for the life of me, get any of my so-called Outposts to evolve into a Colony. It doesn't explain half of the stuff you're supposed to be trying to do just so you can complete the tutorial and earn a basic understanding of how the game operates. for good, which resulted in Endless Space 2 launching a day earlier than expected. So let me just preface this with the observation that the tutorial in this game is by far the worst I have ever seen, in any game, in my years of playing. ‘E.N.F.E.R.’, the community managed to get it into quarantine, and during a special stream last night, the devs were able to lock down the A.I. After a month of research and discussion with the A.I. gone rogue that had taken over all of Amplitude’s tools and communications channels. The game’s launch was recently jeopardized as the studio had been hijacked by an A.I.
